Two different skills are needed when we learn a language. One is fluency and the other is accuracy.
Fluency means - clear and confident
Accuracy means - correct and truthful
When we practice fluency, accuracy is not as important, when we practice accuracy fluency is not as important. Gradually we learn both, practicing each one in turn to improve our language skills as both are equally as important like two wings of a bird. If we get very good at one and not the other it is like a bird with one strong wing, it won't fly in a straight line, it will go around in circles!
So far on the blog we have been practicing fluency. Now we are going to look at accuracy. See the eight examples of incorrect sentences below.
